I tū te hui whakanui i a Moana MacDonald. Kua 11 tau a Moana ē whakapau kaha ana ki te tautoko i ngā kaupapa huhua a Ngātiwai.

He uri a Moana no ngā hapū maha o Ngātiwai otirā he putiputi no te akau o Matapouri.

Kua whai tūranga hou ā Moana ki roto i tana iwi o Ngāti Kahungunu nā reira tana iwi o Ngātiwai i whakahuihui ki te whakanui ka mutu ki te whakawatea hoki i a ia.

On the 25th of May Ngātiwai gathered to farewell Moana Macdonald who has served diligently Ngātiwai Trust Board for 11yrs as Board Secretary.

She is a true uri of Ngātiwai and a taonga serving the Board and our iwi. Moana leaves Ngātiwai Trust Board for a new management tūranga on her Kahungunu side.

On the 1st of June Ngātiwai traveled down to Heretaunga with our whānaunga Moana MacDonald to awhi and tautoko her pōwhiri for her new mahi with the Heretaunga Tamatea Settlement Trust in
Hastings.

With strong whakapapa connections on her fathers side, Moana was warmly accepted by her whānau and we mihi to our Ngāti Kahungunu whānaunga for their manaaki and aroha of our Ngātiwai ope that traveled down.

We thank Moana for her 11 years of service to Te iwi o Ngātiwai and we wish her all the best on her new journey in Heretaunga working for her iwi.
