Northland
There are still 27 cases in Northland, of which 14 have recovered and 13 are active.
Auckland
There are still 212 cases in Waitematā of which 142 have recovered and 69 are active, 187 cases in Auckland of which 148 have recovered and 39 are active, 114 cases in Counties Manukau of which 92 have recovered and 22 are active.
Nationally, there are 6 new confirmed cases of COVID-19. Sadly, there has been another death today, a woman in her 80’s in Christchurch. This brings the total number of deaths from COVID-19 to 14 New Zealanders. Our condolences to their whānau, friends and those nursing and medical staff that have worked tirelessly during these past few weeks. The total number of COVID-19 cases is now 1,451, of which 124 are Māori. There are 11 people in hospital with COVID-19, two are in ICU. 1036 people have recovered. There were 5,289 tests yesterday and in total 94,797 tests have been done to date. The Ministry of Health will continue community testing this week, particularly in Tairāwhiti, Taranaki and Northland.
We will move from Alert Level 4 to Level 3 next Monday, 11.59pm. Until then, we are still in Level 4 so it's important that we all continue to stay at home. STAY HOME, SAVE LIVES! KIA KAHA WHANAU!
